Offering: A few by Andre Norton (1912-2005), the
first woman to be Gandalf Grand Master of
Fantasy, first to be SFWA Grand Master, and first
inducted by the Science Fiction and Fantasy Hall of Fame.

Printing. First Edition. Octavo, original blue
cloth titled in black on spine. 249 pp. Slight
glue spot on rear endpaper, small red dot on
spine of the book (the cloth spine, not the
jacket); otherwise a very good to near fine copy
in dust jacket with very slight edge wear, price corner clipped.

2. NORTON, Andre. DREAD COMPANION. New York:
Harcourt Brace Jovanovich [1970]. First Edition,
First Printing. First Edition. Octavo, original
blue cloth titled in black on spine panel. 234
pp. Of two noted binding variants, this is the
assumed second issue with white endpapers. Small
black pen stroke on top page edges (tucked into
the top of the spine so not terribly noticable);
otherwise about a fine copy in a near fine dust
jacket with just a touch of rubbing at the spine tips.

jacket, both of the jackets are about 1/2"
shorter than the book (as issued). Light
wrinkling and slight marginal darkening to
jackets; slight wear to volume; about fine in very good or better jackets.

of an old price sticker offset onto front panel
of dust jacket, otherwise a fine copy in dust
jacket with artwork by Boris Vallejo. $25.00

titled in blue, blue endpapers. 194 pp. Issued in
both a standard and a reinforced library binding,
this copy is in the standard binding. A fine copy
in a fine dust jacket with wrap-around full
colour artwork by Jack Gaughan, price corner clipped.

repaired internally with archival tape. The dust
jacket has stunning wrap-around artwork by Jack Gaughan. $45.00

fourth issue binding. Light browning to text
block (much less so then usual); a fine copy in a
fine dust jacket, one tiny wrinkle on rear panel.
The dust jacket artwork is by Ed Emshwiller. 5000
copies were printed of which approx. 4000 copies
were bound in various shades of beige or tan
cloth or boards; these red board bindings are
later, dating from around 1959 when the remaining
1000 or so copies were bound up.
