Woods, Minnionette. AUTOGRAPH SENTIMENT ALBUM KEPT BY THIS YOUNG WOMAN OF
ALBANY, NEW YORK, 1883-1891. Original manuscript. 31pp of entries,
containing signatures and handwritten messages. Bound in polished cordovan
leather, with gilt-stamped spine decorations and "Autographs" on cover and
first leaf. 8" x 6.5"

Some of the inscriptions to Ms. Wood are lengthy. Here are some examples of
the shorter ones and some of the signers. Ollie M. Hunter, Binghamton. "May
your lives be long & happy is the wish of your true friend, Robt. N. Ford."
"My darling is forgiven but not forgotten. / J.C.C." A 1.5-page sentiment
from what sounds like a jilted lover is signed M. Sidney Lillis Tarbell. An
eight-line verse of consolation in loss is inscribed "To Minnie" and signed
"Clark." A Palm Sunday 1883 sentiment is signed by Maggie L. Conklin.
Claude enters a 27-line quote from Robert Browning, while another signer
writes out "Requiescat in pace." Two inscriptions are date-lined Calcutta,
India and London, England. A 1.5-page copying of "When Love Is Done" is
singed by Minnionette Lillie Woods, Dec. 12th '89. And the four-stanza,
two-page "How Can A Woman Tell" is signed Minnionette Lillie Tarbell in
1890. Mr. Richard DeLuna of West 50th St, NYC signs his name. And more.
