USS General H.L. Scott (AP-136). SCOTT NEWS DIGEST: Published at Sea Aboard
the USS "General Scott," 14 issues: Nos. 2-15, 6 March 1946 - 19 March
1946. Aboard ship: Ship's Print Shop, 1946. First Editions. 60pp (4pp per
issue), printed by stencil on folio stock; occasional cartoons. Some issues
tanned as usual; a few tears. 13" x 8" Good . Printed self-wraps.
During the War, the Scott, transported men and supplies from the US West
Coast to bases in the South Pacific. When these newsletters were issued,
she had delivered occupation troops to Jinsen, Korea and Shanghai, China
before returning to Seattle on March 20, 1946. This archive contains news
of shipboard activities as well as world news just after the end of World
