Decorators, Paint Manufacturers, Artists, and all who have to mix 
colours”

By Arthur Seymour Jennings.
Published in London by The Trade papers Publishing Co. & New York; Spon 
& Chamberlain in 1926. 7th edition.

DISCUSSION: First published in 1902, this book contained "over 300 
samples of actual oil and water-paints and water-colours of various 
colours". The colors are all carefully described, and each plate was 
supplied by the manufacturer itself. The paints include semi-paste gloss 
paints, flat wall paints, wood stains, sanitary stains, Winsor & Newton 
artists' water colours, and more. Jennings was the editor of the 
Decorator magazine and a prolific author.

DESCRIPTION: Hardcover. 5.5"x8.5", xii + 341 pages, 15 plates of mounted 
color samples.

CONDITION NOTES: Covers worn and soiled, hinges loose, first plate 
partially detaching, some binding cracks, minor internal soil.
