London: J. Dodsley, 1789. First Edition. Bound in original marbled
boards with a recent calf leather spine and corners. While some copies
have a title page dated 1788, the first edition was published in 1789.
One of the most desirable volumes of this prestigious series as this
year contains an early printing of the United States Constitution
including the text of its submission signed in type by George
Washington. Armorial bookplate of the Army and Navy Club on the front
pastedown. Clean copy in a binding with little wear. Near Fine and
