James Carlisle (1814-1877) was a Washington, DC lawyer. His son, Calderon Carlisle, was counselor to the Spanish legation in the United States. This work was first published in 1737. Our finely printed 1796 edition, by Antonio de Sancha, of the commercial and maritime laws of Bilbao, Spain, is not in the BL 18th Century Spanish Books. Palau 202725.
