Tall octavo (8-1/4" x 12-1/4") bound in half blue levant morocco leather 
with the title stamped in gold leaf and the boards covered with a beige 
mould-made Italian paper with the front cover impressed with a head of 
Petrarch drawn by the illustrator. Planned at the Officina Bodoni and 
printed at the Stamperia Valdonega by Giovanni Mardersteig. Illustrated 
with a series of graphite-transfer drawings by Aldo Salvadori. Copy #39 
of 1500 SIGNED by the artist and the printer on the colophon page. 
Bookplate on the front pastedown; minor scratches to spine. Near Fine in 
a Near Fine slipcase with some sunning to the panels. (#017387)
