VIEW OF THE HISTORY, POLITICS, AND LITERATURE, FOR THE YEAR 1787. 
London: J. Dodsley, 1789. Second Edition (actually the Second Printing 
of the First Edition). Bound in original marbled boards with a recent 
calf leather spine and corners. One of the most desirable volumes of 
this prestigious series as this year contains an early printing of the 
United States Constitution including the text of its submission signed 
in type by George Washington. Early library bookplate on the front 
pastedown pasted over an even earlier bookplate. Clean copy in a binding 
with little wear. Near Fine and somewhat uncommon in this condition.
