First Edition. 24pp, printed on salmon stock and white stock. Contains ads
for canvassers to sell subscriptions to various periodicals. Included is a
lengthy, Alphabetical List of American Newspapers and Magazines, showing
the price to subscribers for each periodical and the price to the selling
agents. Also present are ads for various magazines, and a subscription
agent's order form. 9" x 6" Fine. Original Wrappers.
This is an interesting memento of American publishing and bookselling
history. Fragile, and in fine condition. Publisher Goodspeed was Postmaster
of the new Shamrock Post Office, established in 1891, and notes: "The fact
of my being Postmaster is alone sufficient guarantee of integrity and
reliability...." [WorldCat records only an 1899 edition of this work, with
holdings at NY State Library and U Tennessee.]   $50.00
