New York: Stephen Marshall, 1825. First Edition. Duodecimo (4" x 7") in 
contemporary sheep leather with a burgundy morocco spine label. AMERICAN 
IMPRINTS 20111; SABIN 14186. A self-styled journalist/poet, the Maine 
native died in 1827 at the age of 30. Included is an account of a voyage 
to the West Indies in 1814 where Coffine was taken captive. Moderate 
toning to the text; pencil marks on the blanks. Front joint partly
