London: For the Author. 1788-1790. 8vo. 10 volumes (#1-#10 of 20). Added engraved titles. Profusely illustrated with engraved plates, folding maps, and folding plans of major cities (see below). Cont. full calf, gilt spines. Spines & hinges rubbed. Some outer hinges cracked, but holding okay. This set with the following defects: Volume 9 lacks (never bound in) gathering H (8 leaves of text); one map and 3 plates are not present.; BUT WITH the valuable folding plans of Moscow, St. Petersburgh, Peking, Stockholm, Upsalla, Vienna, Belgrade, and Hanover; and folding country maps of Thibet, Persia, Poland, Hungary and Germany; the  Berings' Straights, Russia, Norway Denmark, and the North Pole.    $500.00 (trade discount allowed).  Note:  at this price per volume, someone should want this for the maps, plans and engravings?
