Large woodcut printer's device on title, woodcut portrait of the author, dated 1562, on verso of title and verso of final printed leaf. Text profusely illustrated with 1,761 woodcuts, mostly illustrations of different hands for the study of palmistry. Modern dark brown morocco "antique" style. Title soiled, and with a few old repairs. 2 leaves of text repaired: marginal repairs to 2L1 (pp. 449-450), and 2O1 (pp. 473-474) reinforced at inner margin.
