HIRSCHFELD, Al. SHOW BUSINESS IS NO BUSINESS. New York: Simon &
Schuster, (1951). First Edition. Illustrated by the author. This copy
INSCRIBED and SIGNED by the artist on the page with the publisher's
logo: "For the Heyn's/with much love/HIRSCHFELD 7/77." In addition
Hirschfeld has drawn an ORIGINAL SELF-PORTRAIT incorporating the Simon &
Schuster spotlight transforming it into a bass that he is strumming.
While signed books by Hirschfeld are still readily obtainable, those
with original drawings, especially one such as this that superbly
captures the artist's wit and imagination, have become quite scarce.
Very Good in a Very Good dustwrapper. (#013272) $1,000.00
