A.e.g. Bookplates (including William Stirling's and Victor de Guinzburg's) on front pastedown and front free endpaper. Occasional underlining.    $650.00 (trade discount allowed)
William Stirling (1818-1878) was a Scottish historical writer and politician. He took the name Stirling-Maxwell when he succeeded to the Baronetcy in 1865. He was one of the great book collectors of the 19th century.
