London: Harrison & Co. 1784]. 3 copper engraved plates (8" x 9") by William Blake after Stothard (each with 2 faint creases from folds), taken from THE WIT'S MAGAZINE. Each plate has been attractively matted and framed under glass, along with the title and woodcut vignette from the corresponding month of the journal where the engraving appeared.                                      $750.00 (trade discount allowed)
THE WIT'S MAGAZINE appeared in 1784 and 1785. In all, 5 engraved plates by Blake appeared. We have 3 of the 5. The 3 engravings are: "The Temple of Mirth," January 1784; "The Discomfitted Duellists," March 1784; and "The Blind Beggars Hats," April 1784.
