MODEST COLLECTION (SIGNED).
Bermerton, WA: Henry C. Hitt, 1945. Second edition, Hardbound, Octavo, 
vi, 110 pages, Photographic plates, drawings. Good.
          Scarce early edition of Hitt's work on Chinese snuff bottles. 
SIGNED by Hitt at end of Preface. There are 3 mounted black and white 
photographs within the text along with a tinted photograph mounted as 
the frontispiece. All photos illustrated snuff boxes. Bound in coarse 
illustrated cloth over thin boards, with title and author printed on 
cloth of upper board, decorative endpapers. Bound to mimic Oriental 
accordion binding style. Binding cloth is worn and rubbed through in 
places, including some areas where it is completely perished.......    $300.
