(2),xi,(1),183,(3)pp. With the final leaf of errata. Orig. calf, red morocco spine label (partly chipped off), hinges a bit rubbed. Some light text soiling.    $1,250.00 (trade discount allowed)
Shaw's PRINTING IN CALCUTTA TO 1800 #136 attributes this rare first English translation to Sir William Jones. The SACONTALA (or SAKUNTALA) is one of the great Indian dramas, written by "The Indian Shakespeare."
