Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, one of the five Fireside Poets, was the most 
popular American poet of the 19th century, best known for works like 
EVANGELINE, THE SONG OF HIAWATHA, and "*Paul Revere's Ride*." He was 
also the first American to translate Dante's THE DIVINE COMEDY.  About a 
month ago we uploaded to our website 37 select items by Longfellow,
