Photographs of Mead on front and rear covers by Leanora Miller. 
Inscription in blue ballpoint pen, inside front cover: "To a friend who 
/ was very good to / me. Hope you fin (sic) / what you ar (sic) looking 
for / (signed) Whisky / P.S. Write me when you / can on where you go / 
Gerald Dean Brunke(?) / North Beach Hotel / San Francisco, Calf." The 
scarce first printing of Mead's first collection of "excerpts." Photo 
illustrated covers have a few light creases and rubs, 4.5" diagonal 
crease across lower fore corner of rear cover, some short horizontal 
creases along spine. Scarce. $1250. ppd domestic, elsewhere at cost.
