William Goldman: The Princess Bride. NY: Harcourt Brace Jovanovich, (1973). Stated first edition (with letter line BCDE). About Near Fine in a Very Good+ dustjacket. Book shows some bumping to the spine ends, tiny ding/scuff mark to the fore-edge of the text block, otherwise very light evidence of ever having been read; no owner's inscriptions, no foxing/spotting to page edges. The bright unprice-clipped dj shows some light rubbing, sunning to the spine and the left edge of the front panel, occasional bumping/crimping to the  edges, most noticeable at the spine head and to a lesser degree the front fore-corners, a touch of browning to the top edge of the verso and the (white) rear flap; no tears. A solid copy of a book that's surprisingly difficult to find in presentable condition.
