showing two personages on front and back covers, with Latin captions and an
intricate border. Binding stained; 3/4" chip at tail of spine; foot of
title-page clipped, leaving imprint intact. 5.25" x 3" Good . Vellum.
This 17-book Punica, an epic poem about the Second Punic War and the
longest surviving poem in Latin at over 12,000 lines, is also the only
surviving work by the first-century Latin poet, Silius Italicus.   $400.00
