VASARI, Giorgio. LIVES OF THE MOST EMINENT PAINTERS. Verona: Limited 
Editions Club, 1966. Two small folio (8-1/2" x 11-1/2") volumes in 
original brown buckram in grey printed dustwrappers. With 32 color 
reproductions tipped in and numerous woodcut portraits of the artists, 
most of which are reproductions of the woodcuts Giorgio Vasari executed 
for the 1568 edition and with five portraits executed by Fritz Kredel 
for the present edition. Printed at the Stamperia Valdonega, Verona. Of 
a total edition of 1500 copies SIGNED by the printer and designer 
Giovanni Mardersteig on the colophon page, this is one of only 15 
Presentation Copies with the publisher's blindstamp attesting to such on 
the colophon page where instead of a number the initials "H.M." are 
handwritten. Acquired directly from the publisher's files, and most 
likely the publisher Helen Macy's very own copy. Monthly Letter laid in. 
Spines mildly sunned. Near Fine, without the dustwrappers, in a Good 
marbled-paper slipcase with splits. (#016335)        $150.00
