THE COUNTESS D'ANOIS. In Three Volumes. Translated from the best Edition of
the Original French, b y several Hands. London: Printed for J. Brotherton,
R. Baldwin [&c.], 1749-1766. Mixed editions. Three volumes. A mixed set:
Vol I - Fifth Edition, 1766; Vol II - Third Edition, 1766; Vol III - Fourth
Edition, 1749. Apparently trimmed and bound in 19th-century morocco and
marbled boards; marbled endpapers, with some hinges glued and/or broken;
otherwise the bindings are sound save for a slight nibble at the top of
Volume I's cover. 6.25" x 3.75" Good .
Written by Marie Catherine Aulnoy (1650-1705). First published in 1716
(only three copies known of that date, according to WorldCat). $900.00
