Nicol, Shakespeare Press, 1821. First Edition. Three volumes. pp: xxv, (v),
462, lxxix-bibliographical indices, (i) corrections; (2), 555; (ii), 622,
(lxii) supplement. Complete with: 83 plates without text, and 63 plates
with text; tissue guards. As usual in this book, some plates have offset
onto facing text, despite the tissue guards. Bound in long-grained, tan
morocco, elaborate spine decorations and dentelles, all edges gilt. Except
for the occasional off-setting, this set is in fine condition. 10" x 6.25"

Laid into this set is the 1935 printed Grolier Club announcement of its
December meeting, "devoted to Thomas Frognall Dibdin, the bibliographer and
bibliophile, 1776-1847." The announcement includes an engraved portrait of
Dibdin.   $2,000.00
