clean. A Preface to the Present Edition and bibliography of Defoe's
writings are at the front of Volume I. Bound by J. Mackenzie in red
morocco; gilt spine decorations, cover rules and dentelles, all edges gilt.
9.75" x 6" Very Good. Morocco.
An old note pencilled on the verso free-endpaper states: "Large Paper Copy
of the 'best Edition' with India Proof Plates, contemporary morocco. Very
exceptional copy."  Now foxed at the plates. $500.00
