LESSING, Doris. THE GRASS IS SINGING. New York: Thomas Y. Crowell, 
(1950). First Edition. Review Copy, with slip laid in, of the first book 
by this Nobel Prize winner. The bright yellow cloth has a little soiling 
to the spine and a very slightly bumped corner. The dustwrapper has a 
small hole on the back edge of the spine, a small stain on the somewhat 
soiled rear cover, and a tiny closed tear on the bright front panel.
