1/8" x 5") 466 pp. Frontis. portrait of Washington w/ tissue + 21 full
page b&w plates.
Dark green cloth hardcover with black rules and decoration. Bright gilt
spine titles.  Very Good condition (a few spots on cover, corners a bit
bumped esp. bottom rear; foxing on end papers, prev. owner's stamp:
Cattaraugus News Depot Fred L. Keith, Prop.;  pulp paper contents
age-toned, but clean)

Engagingly written biography of Washington using partially invented
dialogue to dramatize his life.  W.M. Thayer also wrote From Log Cabin to
the White House and From Pioneer Home to the White House, well-known books
in their day.
