Sheriffs Accompts. To which is added [with separate title], A
Tryal of Witches . . . at Bury St. Edmonds, for the County of
Suffolk, on the 10th of March, 1664, before the said Sir Matthew
Hale, Kt. Wing H260 and T2240.  Printed, and are to be sold by
Will. Shroswbery [imprints vary], London, 1683 & 1682.
Contemporary unlettered calf, quite rubbed and repaired, about
one inch of the top of the spine missing, but clean and sound;

The first collected edition of two of Hale's works, including the
report of the witchcraft trial at which he presided in 1664, one
which was to figure importantly in Cotton Mather's account of the
Salem witchcraft trials some thirty years thereafter.
