THE KORAN: SELECTED SURAS. New York: Limited Editions Club, 1958. Octavo 
(6-3/4" x 9-3/4") bound in tan cloth impressed in two colors and gold 
with a traditional walletlike flap. Decorated and illuminated by Valenti 
Angelo including the use of genuine gold on the title page and the page 
facing the opening sura. Translated with notes and an introduction by 
Arthur Jeffery. Of a total of 1500 copies SIGNED by the illustrator on 
the colophon page, this copy is not numbered but rather has the initials 
"V.A." handwritten indicating that it is the artist's copy. Short splits 
to the seam of the box. Fine in a Very Good publisher's clamshell box.
