Henry Rivius: Memoirs of the House of Brunswick from the most early Accounts of that Illustrious Family to the End of the Reign of King George the First. To which are added Eight large Tables, comprehending the Genealogy of that House and a copious Index of the principal Matters contained in the Work. London: Printed for the Author, by J. Haberkorn, 1750. FIRST EDITION; 4to (25.5 cm) in full early/period calf, gilt-lettered morocco spine label; xvi, 455, [1] pp.; with 8 tables, folding and double-page. ESTC T129842.

With a list of subscribers. The work is dedicated to Frederick, Prince of Wales, who died unexpectedly the following year. Nine years later, his son would become king as George III. Binding rubbed with bumping/wear to the extremities, cracking to the joints but both boards are secure, area of worming to the rear paste-down; contents with occasional modest toning and offsetting, a few occasional small spots, otherwise clean and fresh. Early/original owner's signature of Josiah Bullock and with the engraved armorial bookplate of the Bullock family bearing three bulls' heads and the motto "Nil conscire sibi."
