(Bologna: Clemens Ferronius. 1628). 4to. 331,(5)pp. Engraved title, within an ornate type border, dedicatory plate to the Virgin, and 81 copperplates of emblems, each within a border, with text. Additional text in Latin or Italian verse. Bound in 18th century calf, gilt, over brown textured cloth. Lower blank margin of title with 2 lines of ink scribbles. Some light text soiling. Small rubber stamp of a private library on blank margin of the second leaf, and verso of the final leaf. At the bottom blank margin of each engraved emblem is an ink caption in an old hand, sometimes of one word such as "Selva" or "Scultore," at other times more descriptive, such as "Giardino di rose" or "Nave, e venti."     $3,000.00 (trade discount allowed)
