First edition in English. 8vo. 104,(2)pp. With the dedication leaf before the title. Fine copy in original black calf, gilt stamped, very lightly rubbed.  Small oval bookplate of  Herbert M. Evans on front pastedown. A few leaves lightly spotted, otherwise a near fine copy.    $4,500.00 (trade discount allowed)
First printed in Spanish (in Monterey) in 1835; it is the second California printed book, and the first one of importance. Figueroa, Governor and Commandante of Sonora and Sinaloa, and after 1833 the political head of Alta California, records and defends his administration 1833-1835. The 1835 original is extremely rare.
