(Robert E Lee) Anonymous. Incomplete Manuscript of Robert E. Lee's
Conduct of Operations Of The Army Of Northern Virginia In The Civil
War. Circa 1890. Quarto blue lined graph paper; pp; 11-24 with 3
additional pages interspersed eg. 20B; Sixteen pages total; Closely
written single spaced readable script, written on rectos only; The
manuscript begins with Second Manassas and follows Lee's career through
the end of the War and to his death in Lexington in 1870. References in
the text help date this work. The author quotes Grant from his memoirs
and refers to a Dr. Heywood who wrote about Gettysburg the year prior. A
well written narrative, sympathetic to Lee and his actions in service to
the Confederacy. We have searched google books and find no instance of
publication.
