(6)pp. plus 40 copper engraved plates on 20 sheets, each sheet with a facing page of letterpress description. Large, hand colored (in this copy), folding map of the United States and Canada at front. Orig. marbled boards, rebacked some time ago in gilt lettered calf, outer hinges cracked but holding nicely. Engraved bookplate of  travel collector John Waldie (1781-1862) on front pastedown.
