Mission, BC: Barbarian Press. 1986. First Edition. Quarto, original light-blue Japanese paper wrappers stamped with Japanese characters in blind; stitched at spine in Japanese style. Of two variant issues, this is the much rarer Barbarian press issue, limited to 100 hand numbered copies (this being copy No XXX), printed on Frankfurt paper, Japanese folded, stabbed & side-laced into covers of Richard de Bas Blue Clair Cine Blanc handmade paper, with the Barbarian Press imprint on the title leaf. This copy is additionally inscribed by Bringhurst on the dedication leaf: "Posterity: may there be some / Robert Bringhurst / Vancouver 1986". A fine copy, the wraps crisp and unfaded.
