Edward John Moreton Drax Plunkett (1878-1957), 18th Baron of Dunsany,
Irish author and playright, mostly remembered today for his
absolutely remarkable Fantasy stories. He was heir to the
second-oldest title in the Irish peerage, a hess and pistol-shooting
champion, world traveller and the author of over 80 books. We have on
offer a very comprehensive collection of his works, priced
individually, including many great rarities and unique copies.
Authors who were influenced by Dunsany include H.P. Lovecraft, Clark
Ashton Smith, Robert E. Howard, J.R.R. Tolkien, Jack Vance, Michael
Moorcock, Ursula K. Le Guin, Arthur C. Clarke, Neil gaiman and many others.
