Manuel Sanz de la Compañia de Jesus, consultor del Santo Oficio en la isla de Malta.”Sanz was a Spanish Jesuit of the Sicilian Province. He was a missionary to Malta where he became rector of the Jesuit college and qualifer of the Inquisition. One of the most important books written by Jesuits and printed in Europe as an attempt to grasp what the image of Islam was and how the Jesuits approached Muslims in that period. From a paper “EVEN AMONG TURKS,” presented 2012: “… the Spanish Jesuit Manuel Sanz in his Breve … invited Catholic people to convert Muslims, instead of standing and waiting in a sort of passive respectfulness. Like González, Manuel Sanz reasserts in his book that he is not writing only for Muslims, and wants “to teach those who keep them in their homes, or are constantly dealing with them, so that they may know how to talk with them about the truth of our Holy Faith, and convince them of their errors with only a few words, since they won’t have anything to retort” (Sanz, Breve tratado… [Introduction])USD $1,000.— postpaid and insured in the USA.International postage (Registered) at cost.Payable only by Paypal.Robert AzziExeter NH 03833
