Adolph Friedrich Stenzler, editor: Kumara Sambhava : Kalidasae Carmen : Sanskrite et Latine. Berlin/London: Printed for the Oriental Translation Fund of Great Britain and Ireland/Sold by A. J. Valpy: 1838. First edition; 4to (28 cm) in original publisher's stiff wraps; [2], iv, 139, [1] pp.; engraved title-page vignette.

Original wraps with some soiling, wear and chipping to the edges and spine, front wrapper detached; leaves with light fingering/dimpling to the fore-edges, one or two small spots, one leaf torn at the top (not affecting text), else very clean and sound and unopened, meaning that many of the page gatherings are still joined at the top edge as issued, hence unread. Text in Sanskrit and Latin. The Kumarasambhava is an epic poem by the Classical Sanskrit poet Kalidasa, who is believed to have lived in the 5th century CE.
