Paper covers with french flaps. 23 numbered pages. Impressive full page
b&w photo of Afro-Cuban artist in old age facing preface (in French) by
Ulrich Krempel. 21 reproductions, 13 in color.
Near Fine. Light crease on front cover created by edge of french flap,
very faint shelf rub. Tiny bit of bumping at edges. Small erasure mark on
title page, o/w clean and fresh.

Wifredo Óscar de la Concepción Lam y Castilla (1902-1982), Cuban born
artist, studied in Madrid in the 1920s and emigrated to Paris in 1938.
where he was befriended by Picasso and his circle including Matisse,
Braque, Léger.
