Dr. Goheen (1919-2008) served as President of Princeton University from
1957 to 1972, and as US Ambassador to India (the country of his birth) from
1977 to 1980. He had earned his undergraduate degree at Princeton in 1940,
served in WWII, and returned to Princeton after the War for an MA and PhD
