DWIGGINS, W. A. TOWARDS A REFORM OF THE PAPER CURRENCY PARTICULARLY IN
POINT OF ITS DESIGN. New York: Limited Editions Club, 1932. First
Edition. Tall octavo (7-1/2" x 10-1/2") bound in black calf-backed
boards covered with turquoise pattern paper with a printed label
superimposed; 23 [1] pages + specimens. Designed by W. A. Dwiggins and
printed by Peter Beilenson at the Walpole Press on Zerkall paper.
Illustrated with facsimiles and illustrations of the currency and stamps
of the mythical country of the Antipodes. Copy #142 of 452 copies SIGNED
by Dwiggins. Ruari McLean's copy with his bookplate on the front
pastedown. Additionally inscribed on the front endpaper to Charles
Smith, one of the early TYPOPHILE contributors, from one with the
initials "J.K.R." Some chafing and rubbing to the spine edges. Still
Very Good in a tape-repaired, Good slipcase. (#015823) $450.00
