(Broadside Philadelphia) Thomas Shewell By Geo. M. Keim. (Philadelphia: 
Privately printed Tustin & Shewell, c1866).            
                             $95.00
Broadside measures 12.25" x 8"; there is a thin double rule at both top 
and bottom of the piece; it is mounted on an extracted album sheet, else 
very good; There are two iterations of this broadside, this and another 
with the title, "His son, Joseph B. Shewell, late of the firm of Tustin 
& Shewell, died very recently, and we design in our next number to give 
a sketch of the life of that honorable merchant and true gentleman." 
Tustin & Shewell are listed in Philadelphia directories through 1863; 
Joseph B. Shewell is listed through 1866, but not after. We were able to 
locate a copy at the Library Company of Philadelphia.


Over 30 19th century bookplates (with one or two exceptions) Bookplates 
are tipped onto two album pages, some are in color overall condition is 
very good. $75.00
