With a hand-lettered (manuscript) title page, plus 140 mounted copper engraved plates (approx. 5" x 5-1/2") , each with a letterpress caption in Dutch. Plates are in fine condition (note: these mounted plates are probably from the 1657 edition of HISTORIE DER MARTELAREN by Adriaen Cornelisz van Haemstede). Bound in early 20th c. black morocco, gilt, over marbled boards.    $600.00 (trade discount allowed).  The history of Christian martyrdom.
