GEORGE IV (1762-1830). Fine bold signature of King George IV of Great Britain and Ireland, inscribed atop a "beating order" authorizing the recipient to raise a company of soldiers. Matted: clipped signature measuring ca. 7.25" x 2.5"; matte measuring 11" x 16". A previous owner or dealer has dated the signature in pencil "25th March 1821" (four months before his coronation in Westminster Abbey).
