book]: Planned and Edited by Moses King. Text by M.F. Sweetser. Over 2,500
Illustrations. Fifty-three colored maps. Buffalo, NY: Matthews-Northrup,
1896. Advance Dummy. This salesman's sample includes many color maps and
text illus, with subscription forms at the end. The front cover is
pictorial morocco, stamped in gilt and blind. The back cover is half
morocco and cloth. Inside the front cover are binding samples: a
gilt-morocco backstrip, and a silver-stamped, pictorial cover and
backstrip. Top edges gilt. Pictorial endpapers. Top of front joint started.
The back cover has a light streak in the cloth, no doubt suffered as the
drummer and his horse forded a mountain stream, taking knowledge and
culture to the hinterlands. 8.25" x 5.5". Good condition.  $75.00
