device on title page in red, 11 plates, index, list of subscribers; text
clean, unmarked. Red cloth, black leather spine label titled in gilt,
top edge gilt, fore- and bottom-edges untrimmed, original slip case with
printed paper spine label; binding square and tight, spine lightly
faded, some rubbing to the cloth covers, slip case rubbed with some
cracks at the joints. SIGNED by the author. Very Good.

LIMITED EDITION of 350 numbered copies, this is number 128 SIGNED by the
author on the limitation page. John Winterich was a prominent American
Bibliophile in the first half of the twentieth century. He was best
known as a contributing editor of the _Saturday Review_, a position he
held until 1946. In the 1930s, he was editor of _The Colophon_. The list
of subscribers to this work include a number of university libraries,
book clubs, and Los Angeles book sellers Dawson's and Jake Zeitlin.
