Illustrated with a steel engraved frontispiece portrait, a large folding color map of South America with an inset of the province of Rio de Janeiro, plus folding maps of Brazil and the Falkland Islands. Further illustrated with 19 text plates, 3 full-page portraits, and numerous text woodcuts. Orig. blind stamped brown cloth, gilt lettering on spine. Minor chips at extremities of spine, small splits at head & foot of front hinge, and a 3" closed tear in the large folding map, but still a very nice copy.    $450.00 (trade discount allowed)
