Circa 1933. Original edition. Broadsheet, printed in black on tan (side
one) and black on pale blue (side two). Display type; 10 photo-portraits on
side one; National Recovery Act logo on side two. 24" x 9" Very Good.
The two-hour program comprised seven one-act plays: "The Unwanted Wife"; "A
Southern Cinderella"; "Don't Lie To Your Wife"; "Little Orphan Annie"; &c.
Between-act features included: Tap, Buck and Wing Soft Shoe; Dancing
Deluxe; Orchestra - Hot and Sweet; &c. The 13 players included: Bessie
Leighton, Mabel Rhodes, Billy Miller, Harry Pamplin, and nine others. The
only online reference to this group is a sentence in a history of the
Jackson Theatre of Flomaton, Alabama: "Some of the early theatrical
productions in the Jackson theatre ran for a week. An example was the Cooke
Players who performed during the “Depression Years." $75.00
