LIMITED EDITION of 400 copies, this is number 324, composed in Monotype
Bell by the Stinehour Press and printed by the Meriden Gravure Company.
Contains a complete facsimile of the only known copy of Rachael
Plummer's captivity narrative. Rachel Plummer's 21-month captivity among
the Comanche became a sensation after she published her account in 1838.
The _Narrative_ is considered an example of the captivity narrative used
as propaganda to justify war against Native Americans, and an invaluable
look at Comanche culture before environmental destruction, disease,
starvation, and war forced them onto reservations.
