Volumes. London: Sampson, Low, Marston, Searle & Rivington, 1876.

First Edition. Two volumes, octavo. pp: xii, 411; viii, (i), 463 with
index.  Complete with two frontispieces, 20 plates, three folding maps with
color, and text illustrations.  Bound in 3/4 green morocco and patterned
boards, ribbed spines with gilt lettering, top edges gilt; edges of boards
lightly scuffed, else Very Good.  8.5" x 5.25".

Provenance: Each volume contains the armorial bookplate of William Henry
Rossington and the engraved name slip of Walter W. Colpitts.  Rossington, a
lawyer and member of the Kansas State Legislature, edited the Commonwealth
and Leavenworth Commercial newspapers.  He and his law partner, Charles
Blood Smith, co-founded the Topeka Club. $375.00
